The Benefits of Live Stream Yoga and Meditation Over Pre-Recorded Classes

Many yoga and wellness websites offer generous catalogs of pre-recorded videos on everything from Yin yoga to guided meditation. But what if you could experience the structured serenity of a meditation or yoga class both within the comfort of your own space and under the LIVE guidance of a teacher who can be completely present with you now? With the rise in popularity and adoption of live streaming, this type of experience is now possible. It provides a natural and convenient alternative to brick-and-mortar studios while offering that deep human connection not found in pre-recordings. 

So, How Does it Work?

So how does it work? Please look at our online schedule for meditation and yoga classes, seamlessly pay for the session you want to participate in, and then you’re directed on how to join the live video meeting. Once inside the class, you will see the teacher in their home or studio in real-time, and you can see the other students attending if they choose to participate with their cameras on. This optional privacy feature goes for you as well! You may participate in the class without using the camera feature. You will still be able to see the instructor. Either way, you still get all the benefits of a live session! It’s a personal experience. You can have an element of social interaction tailored to your comfort level, and a sense of shared community is sorely lacking in pre-recorded videos. Om Reset wants to change the meditation game with unprecedented accessibility and convenience.

The Literature and Research are Clear

The literature and research show that participants learn best and experience the best when actively engaging with the material, not simply sitting and passively observing. Most people are more likely to stick with something if they feel involved and have an encouraging teacher on the other side of the screen reminding them to keep moving forward with their practice. With yoga and meditation, this consistency is vital. Both are most effective, and their benefits are most impactful when experienced over time. In our constantly hustling and bustling society, self-care often becomes the first thing to drop by the wayside. With a scheduled live class, your time is managed and accounted for, and you are more likely to honor your commitment. This pre-planned structure also gives you something to look forward to. 

The ability to openly communicate with your teacher means that no matter where you are in your practice, you will receive the most beneficial experience. Your instructor is there for you if you need clarification advice or wish to share a thought about the incident.

Of course, ultimately, it’s up to you how you want to go about your yoga and meditation practice. Pre-recorded video content can be a great supplement to your live-class routine. If, for some reason, you’re unable to attend one of your regularly scheduled classes with us, we will email you a link to the recorded class for you to enjoy.
